Public Records Request

The ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø (ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø) Office of Marketing and Communication receives and facilitates the fulfillment of Public Records Requests in adherence with Idaho Code § 74-102.

As an Idaho public institution of higher education, ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø follows the provisions of the law, granting individuals the right to examine any public records maintained by the institution, except for those records which are statutorily exempt.

Anyone seeking public information records must use the ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Public Record Request Form which can be accessed by clicking on the button below. Emailed forms are no longer accepted.

You will receive a response within 3 business days for Idaho residents or 21 days for non-Idaho residents, either with the completed request or with notice that additional time will be required in order to fulfill the request.

ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Public Records Requests will be considered official when the online submission is received.

Public Records Request Information

ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø will provide records based on the description received in a records request.

  • Fees - The majority of records requests are completed by ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø at no charge. Pursuant to Idaho code § 74-102 (10), ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø will conduct the first two hours of labor to process this request free of charge. After the first two hours, labor fees may be charged.
  • Prepaid Fees - All fees must be prepaid and received by ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø before a records request can be processed.
  • Time Spent Fees - Pursuant to Idaho Code § 74-102(10)(b)(iii) requests that take longer than 2 hours of an employee's time to gather and/or copy documents will be charged based on the associated employee's hourly rate.
  • Redaction Fees - Pursuant to Idaho Code § 74-102(10)(b)(ii), records containing nonpublic information will be redacted as required by law. Public records are reviewed by administration and, when necessary, legal counsel to ensure appropriate redactions. When applicable, fees for this service may be charged to the requester based on the attorney’s hourly rate.
  • Paper Copy Fees - Pursuant to Idaho Code § 74-102(10)(b)(i) any response to a request resulting in more than 100 pages of printed records will be charged at a per- page rate.

Note: All requests made to ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø may themselves be subject to release as a public record.
